Head Gear
- Any of the various styles of slouch or plug hats
- Any period correct civilian hat acceptable (Oil cloth wheel, quilted hat's etc.)
- Non-descript worn out C.S. kepi's preferably non-dyed or butternut
*All Garments must be constructed of natural fibers, utilizing period correct construction techniques.
*Shirts
- C.S. Issue shirt of period construction
- Civilian shirt of period construction -stripes or checks (may have tape aound placket and chest pockets)
*Jackets & Coats
- Civilian coats (See Echoes of Glory p. 146 )
- Undyed (Dirty) penetentiary jackets (Texas and Louisiana Depot goods)
- Non-descript commutation jackets (undyed or butternut)
*Trousers
- Civilian trouses of period construction
- Undyed Jean wool trousers
- Butternut trousers
No Federal Sky blues
Footwear (Boots are good for riding not marching)
- Civililian boots any of the variety of styles (Mounted)
- C.S. or U.S. Brogans (Dismounted)
- Civilian shoes (Dismounted)
Socks
- Cotton issue and/or wool socks
No, rag socks, or modern socks with stripes or elastic
Blankets: Bedrolls may be worn over shouler, hobo style or strapped to the saddle.

Haversacks
- C.S. canvass type
- U.S. style
- No haversack
Weapons
- Shotguns, Mississippi, Tyler, Flintlocks converted to percussion, or Enfield Rifles
- Common squirrel rifle (percussion preferred)
- Springfields preferably '42's
Accutrements (Belts & buckles: georgia frame, fork tongue, Copper CS egg shape, civilan roller buckles)
- Magee Horter & George with cartridge box and cap box worn on the belt
- Houston Depot accutrements
- Any period cartrige box worn on the belt
- shot bags
Horses (Optional) *Be sure to bring Coggins Papers
- Mustangs, Ponies and other documented breeds (bays, buckskins, & sorrels preferred)
- Mules
No Paints Please
Saddles & Tack
- Hope Confederate Manufacture or CW era Maclellans
- Civilan Patterns (Sante Fe or any various spanish influence ones with large pommels and wooden trees)
- Last Choice: Grimsley's and Jenifers. These were evidently not used after a certain point because they hurt underfed horses. Marmaduke's command suffered from lack of forage.
